TikTok Shop is a marketplace built into a video app. Creators promote products in their videos and earn a commission on each sale, and every product page shows how many units have sold. Price, stock, reviews and the videos driving demand all sit on public pages.

For product research, that is rare. Most marketplaces show you what sells; very few show you who sells it for them.

What you can extract

A full product record carries:

Identity: product name, brand, category path, product ID and URL
Price: list and discounted price, discount, price range across variants, promotion tags
Variants: each with its own price, stock and purchase limit, plus which options are sold out
Sales: units sold since listing and an estimated revenue (price times units sold)
Shipping: fee, free-shipping flag, delivery window, whether TikTok fulfils the order
Shop: rating, followers, badge, service scores, the seller’s registered business name and address
Reviews: up to 1,000 per product, each with rating, text, photos, variant and verified-purchase flag
Creator videos (US): up to 20 per product, with views, likes, creator name and posting date

Store links add a store row with estimated revenue; a creator’s @username adds every product their videos tag.

The technical challenge

TikTok Shop runs in 10 markets that do not behave the same way:

Uneven features by market: keyword search exists in the US and five Southeast Asian markets only; the UK, Mexico, Japan and Indonesia need category or store links instead. Creator videos on product pages are US-only.
Market-locked content: TikTok shows a video’s tagged products only to viewers of that market, so a creator has to be read in their own region.
Review ceilings: TikTok Shop lists at most 1,000 reviews per filter; going deeper means one pass per star rating.
No history: TikTok shows today’s price and sales count only. Sales velocity needs your own snapshots and a data pipeline that doesn’t break.
